Should Energy is Shit Energy - Get Out of Your Own Way

Today after a call with my mentor I realized that I've been spending too much time in "Should Energy".

I should have done this. I should be doing that.

But when I take a step back.

I am doing the things I need to be doing. I am posting regularly. I am serving people. I am turning on the light in the light house for wary travelers.

I am literally living my dream life. I live in my bus that I dreamed about for 4 years before this. I talk to people and have conversations with them about leveling up, and get to hear all about how their astrology impacts them. I get to learn about and talk about what lights me up.

This doesn't even touch on my relationships, which over the last 7 years especially has really grown into a beautiful support system because not only am I showing up as me, but I am also more aware of their needs.

I know it's cliche to say that the place you're at now you once dreamed of being. Especially to all of you that are reading this.

You've BEEN googling, searching, scouring the internet and maybe even books for what it means to be you in this life.

Because you want to grow! You want to feel aligned with your life -- you want to feel like you chose it, and you know all the rules to living it successfully and in an exciting way. Mark Manson says happiness is solving problems you want to solve, it's not an absence of problems.

Have you ever noticed how many extremely successful people are out there who all took different paths to get there? Why do we think it's the path that matters so often? Let's see how a similar path can look for people.

Here's a purely financial example. Money isn't everything, but it's an easy way to compare people who we generally deem successful.

The top 5 richest people in the world are Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Bernard Arnault, Bill Gates and Warren Buffet.

Here are their educational backgrounds --

💰 Elon Musk - Bachelor of Arts in Economics + a Bachelor of Science in Physics from University of Pennsylvania (NOT ivy...), was accepted to a PhD in Philosophy program, but dropped out

💰 Jeff Bezos - Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (after changing his major from physics) from Princeton (Ivy).

💰 Bernard Arnault - (CEO of Louis Vuitton, btw) - Degree in Engineering from Ecole Polytechnique (France's leading engineering school)

💰 Bill Gates - attended Harvard for 2 years and dropped out to start Microsoft with Paul Allen. While at Harvard he studied law (he now holds an honorary law degree - why?? idk) In my short research, it's not clear whether he has a degree he actually earned.

💰 Warren Buffett - Received a masters in Economics from Colombia (Ivy).

So basically all of these people chose similar paths, and they all hold a net worth of $125 billion or more.

Engineering, Computer Science, Economics.

"Hey Google, How many people hold engineering degrees?"

"In 2019 there were 4.54 million engineers in the workforce."

"What is the average salary of an engineer who works in Comptuer Science?"

"The average salary of an engineer who works in computer science is 73,000 dollars per year".

So you're saying, its not the degree, eh?

What do all of these people have?

I'm willing to make a few bets:

🔑 Their networks are expansive, they delegate, and they make money with their money.

🔑 They all believe deep down that no matter what, looking back there is no possible way that this wouldn't have happened. "They made it happen."

🔑 They all believe that they deserve what they've got, and I bet they don't secretly loathe themselves or let their fears stop them from pushing the needle forward.

There are a lot of other things that these guys all have in common but I'll move on.

It's not what you're doing. It's who you're being.

Plenty of people hate all 5 of these men.

It's what you believe about yourself. It's who you show up to be. It's who you are when people aren't watching and when they ARE watching.

I spent nearly a decade in self loathing wondering why things weren't happening for me. Why I couldn't attract a magnetic audience. WHERE ARE MY LOYAL, RIDE OR DIES???" I thought to myself.

They're out there waiting for you to be you, ya big dummy.

And this is true for you too.

But here's how it can't happen -- without you understanding where and how you want to shine and show up in the world. Unless you've worked through this, or have an intuition that you never ignore (what's that like??), you're probably doing what? -- living under the crushing weight of your own expectations of what you "should" be doing.

Here's the ✨mood✨: blasting through your limiting beliefs, radical self love and approval while holding ourselves accountable to the standards we consciously design for ourselves.

I hate to tell you this, but literally only you are standing in your way.
