The real benefits of knowing your astrology chart from an energetic awareness perspective

Sometimes Using Astrology means allowing yourself to have some excuses - sorry explanations - as to why we're resting even if we don't feel like we should need it, or deserve it, or have time for it.

Let's discuss. I participate in western culture. I live in the states and like many other western countries, we value production and busyness - I'd say perhaps even the most.

We romanticize workaholism, hustle culture, and rigidity in schedules and to-do lists. Over the past 3 years, we have started to reassess this cultural norm and started rejecting the always "on air" expectation.

But we are conditioned and this isn't something that an adult can undo in a couple years. More recently, I've gotten interested in time cycles - as many of you who have been reading my work for some time have likely noticed.

I like to look back and see the last time certain arrangements were occurring and compare the two time frames.

The issue is that many of us who are getting interested in using astrology and these cyclical timings are on the more youthful side, and consequently some of these cycles are happening for the first times in our lives - at least while we're in charge of our life and (relatively speaking) our time.

Since I've been into astrology a long time, I have a relatively detailed timeline of my life which is helpful for emotionally preparing myself to move through upcoming transits that I know will have their difficulties- remember knowing doesn't make you immune.

Do I need to go back into the astrology ephemeris to justify the fact that I need a break right now and to have grace with the fact that I am taking time for me?

Not really, but it makes me feel better as I go so that's a neat perk - but it's not the real perk.

The REAL perk of this is that - ideally ahead of time and not retrospectively- I can rationalize that (as as example, maybe) Mars (energy, motivation, drive) is conjoining (blending) both transiting Saturn (restrictions, delays, constricting, removal) in the same sign as my natal Saturn in Saturn's home sign (so he's definitely the boss in this situation) and activating my grand fixed cross by sign - well shit I'd know not to plan anything for this week!

Ideally I'd have some things prepared ahead of time so that I don't ghost on my social platforms - of course my actual business tasks such as client conversations and showing up for them don't take a back seat unless they're properly rescheduled - but other than those things I can take a well earned vacation because I was able to work up until my astrological deadline that is invisible to someone not watching the sky in their chart.

Similar things happen on a yearly basis for me during Libra season. When planets transit Libra they complete a cardinal cross with my natal cardinal T square with Mercury in Aries at the apex, Mars in Cancer, and Neptune in Uranus in their early 1990s positions in Capricorn.

Luckily, right before that, Virgo season creates a stunningly beautiful grand trine with my Sun, those Capricorn planets, and my Ascendant.

So I know to push hard during that time frame to prepare for the Libran difficulties that are about to ensue.

I call this energetic awareness, and I try my hardest to prepare myself so I can live through the waves moving my energy levels up and down.
